Survive Cancer

The Cycle for Gold Challenge is India’s largest charity cycling challenge. An initiative by CanKids -  National Society for Change for Childhood Cancer in India, the challenge aims to spread  awareness and raise critical funds for children with cancer.

The funds are being raised to provide holistic  treatment for children with cancer. CanKids partners with over 141 hospitals across 60 cities in 22 states of India. It is India’s largest NGO for childhood cancer. Funds go towards medical treatment, blood work, nutrition, counseling, education & financial protection of a child with cancer.

2. You download the  XFitConnect App For The Leaderboard. Available on both iOS and Android
3. You sync your Strava to the app. Your profile will need to be public so that we can import your rides
4. You ride your cycle, record and save the activity.
5. Our app will sync and reflect the kms logged. 

1. The Challenge starts from Feb 4th 2026 which is World Cancer Day. The challenge ends on March 15th, 2026.
2. During this period your ride your cycle as many kms as you can on as many days as you can. There are no fixed rules. All cycling kms count
3. On the app there will be a ‘leaderboard’ that will reflect your ranking based on the kms cycled by you.

 There is a registration donation of INR 699, against which you will receive a very good quality dri fit participation T-Shirt and an opportunity to be part of an event like no other.

The donation is also eligible for an Income Tax deduction against section 80G. 

1. Fundraising for Cycle for Gold is done through Milaap.
2. After registering for the challenge, you will be guided to set up your Milaap fundraising page, where you can either create your own individual or group fundraising page or you can  create a supporting fundraiser or support an existing fundraiser by sponsoring kilometres.
3. You can invite your friends, family and networks to contribute or choose to donate to another participant’s page and be part of their journey.
4. All funds raised contribute directly to the treatment, care and financial protection of children with cancer.

Teeshirt: We will every effort to physically reach you with the tee shirt before 10th Feb so that you can wear it during your cycling activity during the Challenge period

E Certificates: These are downloadable in the app for every level that you progress. Take your selfie and then share the e-certificate on your favourite social media / WhatsApp groups

Medal / Plaques: Will reach you in about a month after the final results are collated after the Challenge period

 In order to have a level playing field, we have the following rules in place

1. Elapsed time is not more than 2x moving time. This is to avoid rides being paused and restarted. We would like the ride to be one continuous ride
2. Manual entry rides not allowed. Of course we want to you to actually ride the kms
3. Tagged rides not allowed
4. Trainer, peloton rides not allowed. Not an indoor ride, but out in the open.
5. No double gunning, which means you cannot log on two devices at the same time. Yes some tend to be not so ethical
6. No rides more than 40 kph avg
7. Multiple rides in a day are allowed

1. Ask all your group members to register individually for the main challenge using the same link. While registering, they should select the category under the Question - Individual / Club / Corporate / Other (choose Other if the name is not listed) and select or enter your Club or Group Name (only if it is not already available; optional).
2. All kilometres cycled by your members will be aggregated at the group level, while each cyclist will also be eligible for individual recognition and rewards.
3. Your group can also create a group fundraising page on Milaap and collectively raise funds to support children with cancer.

1. Always wear a helmet, observe road rules, ride safely and avoid headphones for calls or music / podcasts. Situational awareness is important.

3. CanKids or YouTooCanRun are not liable for any accidents, injuries or other events that can happen during your rides.

The t-shirt should reach you in the first week of February, all other prizes and rewards won would be dispatched to the respective participants over April.

* All Individual & Team distance rankings are basis successfully finished rides from February 4 2026 @ 00:00:01 IST to March 15  2026 @ 23:59:59 IST

*  Cyclists riding in a team are also eligible for the Individual Ranking Prizes

* Ties in funds raised would be broken by average funds raised across team, and ties in distance targets would be broken by average speed.
