4 State Care Coordination Centers (SCCC) and Home Away from Homes launched at Lucknow, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Varanasi and Aurangabad. MoU signed with Uttar Pradesh as knowledge partner for Change for Childhood Cancer.

Decade Milestone

CanKids completes 10 years as a National Society. MoU signed with Puducherry Government. Organized PAN India 'Best Nurses = Best Care' workshop and 6th PHOSSCON at New Delhi.

Innovation Year

CanShala school-at-hospital opened in Mumbai. 100 Nurses Project launched. Go Gold Warriors Fellowship with 10 awardees. 'Say No To Pain' campaign launched. 7 new Hospital Units opened.

2017

ALL Golden Crab

ALL Golden Crab Project launched, marking a significant advancement in acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment support and research initiatives.

2016

Light Up Gold

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month celebrated at Taj Mahal with Light Up Gold campaign, attended by 1900 patients, survivors, and families. Global pledges received to make cancer a national priority.

2013

Access2Care Concert

Concert by Kailash Kher organized to raise awareness about Access2Care program for children battling cancer, bringing music and hope together.

2012

Holistic Care Expansion

Expansion to 28 units. Sukritham Home inaugurated in Kerala. Subhita - India's first Pediatric Palliative Day Care launched with 10 beds and 24-hour services. Quality Care program initiated.

2011

Rapid Growth

13 new CanKids Hospital Support Units opened across India. 3,930 children registered under YANA (You Are Not Alone) program, marking significant outreach expansion.

2010

Geographic Expansion

New Hospital Support Units launched at King George's Medical University (Lucknow), Tata Medical Hospital (Mumbai), and PGIMS (Rohtak). First Regional Office opened in Mumbai.

2009

Treatment Support Launch

Voices for Hospices concert held for Palliative Care. Treatment Support Program launched providing nutrition, hygiene, accommodation and blood support to 507 children with ₹82,00,000 funding.

2008

Foundation Milestones

First Home Away from Home inaugurated in Delhi. India's First Women's Car Rally in MP. National Outreach Program launched. National Childhood Cancer Scholarship Program with 6 awardees. President receives Indira Gandhi Award.

2006

Survivor Network

KidsCan Konnect network of teen and young adult childhood cancer survivors formed. YANA (You Are Not Alone) Model launched. Seed grant received from American Cancer Society for India's first Pediatric Palliative Care Centre.

2005

The Beginning

International Childhood Cancer Day observed for the first time in India at CanKids' program in Appu Ghar, celebrating with children fighting cancer. Adopt a Child program launched, marking the foundation of comprehensive care.
