On the occasion of World Cancer Day and International Childhood Cancer Day, children from 14 CanKids care centres wrote 2.97 letters to Members of Parliament to make childhood cancer a priority.

In 2023, CanKids collected 5,00,000 pledges in support of a National Plan for Childhood Cancer. Among the pledge takers were directors, secretary level government officials, security forces, business owners, and citizens from different walks of life. People raised their voices for children with cancer, asking the Prime Minister and Health Minister to take action.

Each year, Mahesh draws thousands of volunteers in one state, engaging with and providing resources to people in villages, towns, hospitals, schools and more.

CanKids has previously held car rallies in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Delhi-NCR.
